The latest weather maps show heat is on the way to the UK, with soaring temperatures of 21C expected. With summer on the horizon, forecasts show warmer temperatures will be hitting the UK as soon as early April. A map from Netweather shows that on Saturday, April 5, at 6pm, some areas of the UK could see 21C, including parts of London, Doncaster, Sheffield and Manchester.
But these won’t be the only areas that will see warmer temperatures. The map also shows that large parts of England will see 20C from the east of England and Yorkshire.
Across the Midlands, temperatures will sit at around 18C or 19C.
As for Wales, temperatures will range from 14C to 20C, but most parts will see 17C.
In Scotland, the weather will be cooler from 7C to 12C.
A map from WXCHARTS shows the warm weather coming up towards the UK from mainland Europe.
In Europe, France, Spain and Portugal will also see this warm weather before it heads to the UK.
The map shows temperatures in these countries range from between 9C and 20C.
A forecast by the Met Office says: “At the turn of the month, settled weather is expected to cover much of the UK. Most places are expected to be dry with clear or sunny spells and light winds.”
It added that inland areas will see a general day on day warming next week, but cooler near coastal areas, with an additional risk of mist or sea fog affecting parts of the east coast.
The forecast continues: “Some periods of unsettled weather could develop at times. If this happens any rain or showers are most likely to affect southern or western areas.
“However the main signal is for dry and fine weather across the country. Temperatures will likely be around or above normal and feeling warm during the day, and some cold nights are still possible when skies are clear.”
