GTA Online players have been handed a brand new reason to dive into Los Santos. A fresh update has landed today (Wednesday, December 10) with plenty to get to grips with.
A Safehouse in the Hills, the latest GTA Online update, enables gamers to acquire an opulent mansion, featuring swimming pools, kennels and hot tubs. Naturally, players can also anticipate a range of fresh missions, vehicles and items. There’s also a new feature allowing you to design your own missions.
The final major content drop of 2025, GTA Online’s newest update came out today (December 10) on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
The content went live from 10am GMT UK time. That’s 5am EDT / 2am PDT for fans living in the US, and 11am CET for European players, as reported by All Out Gaming.
The Safehouse in the Hills update offers a host of new content for gamers to enjoy, as Rockstar Games gears up for another year of success on the live-service version of its flagship franchise.
Users can now purchase a luxury mansion from Prix Luxury Real Estate. The mansions are described as boasting « sprawling outdoor spaces and meticulously designed interiors », alongside a « state-of-the-art AI Assistant to aid with professional and personal tasks ».
The opulent homes include Trophy Cabinets, a private Salon, animal Kennels, elegant Garages, indoor car podiums, armoury and vehicle workshops.
There’s also a helipad, a cigar room, vault, media room, arcade and yoga area.
Optional extras include the capability to organise your own gatherings and employ a protection squad.
According to Rockstar Games, the update introduces fresh Law Enforcement Vehicles, Drift variations, Freemode activities, and numerous gameplay enhancements.
Finally, the new Mission Creator is described as an « in-depth and comprehensive toolkit » that allows you to design and publish your own Missions. You can create custom objectives, placeable actors and lots more.
