Fortnite developer Epic Games is about to add lots of new content to the game, although the good news ends there.
According to Epic Games, Fortnite update 34.10 is coming to PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android on March 11. It adds new content such as crossover skins, items and Mythics.
Unfortunately, however, the good news ends there, because the new content won’t be available until server maintenance comes to an end.
Fortnite will be taken offline at 8am GMT UK time, while matchmaking is disabled shortly beforehand.

The news was announced by Epic Games on X (formerly Twitter), alongside a confirmation of the server downtime.
« Fight back against the Big Bad Wolf! » reads an Epic tweet. « Downtime for v34.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand. »
For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 8am GMT, while matchmaking will be disabled at 7.30am UK time.
Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for 2-3 hours.
This means Fortnite and all companion game modes should be back online from 10am GMT UK time at the earliest.
Daily Express will update this article with all the latest developments, so keep checking back for confirmation about the Fortnite server maintenance.
In terms of what fans can expect, update 34.10 will put the spotlight on Fletcher Kane.
As you can see from the trailer above, the new update will also introduce a new Invincible crossover. This includes new skins and items for Allen the Alien and Dupli-Kate.
It’s believed the Outlaw Midas skins and questlines will be released as part of the new update, potentially alongside the new Scorpion skin and Mythic item from Mortal Kombat.
Speaking of new items, Epic Games has previously confirmed that the Outlaw Shotgun, Rocket Drill and Pump & Dump will join the game as part of update 34.10.
