A federal district judge on Tuesday issued a one-week administrative stay in a case challenging the Trump administration’s plan to freeze federal aid.The Trump administration says its plan to freeze federal aid reflects the president’s vision for how government services should be provided, targeting programs he views as politically charged. While a judge’s stay pauses the plan, it gives the court more time to hear arguments and review briefs.
