A 23-year-old British national has died in Thailand after a motorbike collision left him in a coma for weeks. Hailing from Milton Keynes, Tiger Duggan had been living in Australia with his brother.
He was travelling with a friend as a part of his birthday celebrations when he fell from his bike overtaking a car on February 1. He had been admitted to MedPark Hospital in Bangkok for the treatment. After initially being treated at a hospital in Koh Samui he was later transported to the hospital in Bangkok to receive specialist treatment. His family wrote in a tribute: « Our beautiful soft skinned, beautiful long eye lashed boy with a cheeky charming infectious smile that touched everyone’s hearts left this dimension early this morning in my arms. »
His friends has set up an online fundraiser to support them as they spent time at his bed side. Over £200,000 had been raised in an online fundraiser to support his recovery.
An update posted on the fundraising page said: « We want to thank everyone that has supported us in Tiger’s journey from prayers, messages and donations.
« Without those donations Tiger would not have reached his final destination where following his passing this morning in a selfless act has given three maybe four other people a second chance at life by donating his organs.
« We have had 19 days of living a nightmare, please now respect our peace and privacy. »
