Red Bull boss Christian Horner was left stunned after the team won their fifth race of the season on Sunday.
The 49-year-old team boss said Red Bull bosses were scratching their heads perplexed at their rivals’ struggles.
Max Verstappen now enjoys a healthy 44-point lead over the nearest non-Red Bull challenger, Fernando Alonso in the Drivers’ Championship.
Horner said: “Five races, five wins, plus the spirit, four one-two finishes, We’ve never ever had a start like this and we’re kind of wondering where are the others.
“We’ve made a normal step over the winter and it’s more where did Ferrari and Mercedes go?”
