Max Verstappen and Red Bull are understood to be annoyed at former world champion Nico Rosberg after the German criticised the 25-year-old.
Rosberg branded the Dutchman “weak” after it emerged Verstappen had skipped the team debrief on Saturday.
He added: “That is not a good approach, not a good mentality this early in the season when the team has done such a brilliant job with the car and is working so hard. He could be a little bit more gracious, I would say.”
However, reports suggest Red Bull had asked Verstappen to go back to the hotel to rest.
The reigning champion had been suffering from a stomach bug in the run-up to the Jeddah weekend.
