Epic Games is giving away around 16 games over Christmas and New Year, beginning with The Lord of the Rings Return to Moria.
A popular game among fans of Lord of the Rings, Return to Moria is available free of charge, no strings attached.
Unfortunately, however, you don’t have much time to redeem the Lord of the Rings-themed survival game, which is available from now until 4pm GMT on December 19.
Lord of the Rings Return to Moria will be replaced by another high-profile game release on Thursday afternoon.
Epic Games will continue the promotion by giving away a free game every day until the end of the year.
In order to nab your free game, simply visit the Epic Games Store and create or login to your account. Visit the Lord of the Rings Return to Moria store page and click ‘GET’ to add it to your library.
Once you’ve added it to your account, Return to Moria is yours to keep forever.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is an interesting and unique take on the survival/crafting genre.
As the name suggests, you play as a group of Dwarves who return to Moria and reclaim it for their own.
Playable solo or with friends, you’ll venture into the procedurally generated depths in order to mine its treasure and rebuild your home.
Needless to say, you’ll also come face-to-face with some Middle-earth monsters along the way. This includes Goblins, Orcs and Cave Trolls.
In addition to daily freebies, Epic Games has also discounted hundreds of games as part of the Holiday Sale.
This includes GTA 5 for just £14.99, as well as EA FC 25 for £23.99, Star Wars Outlaws for £38.99 and Alan Wake 2 for £19.99.
Other games discounted as part of the event include Hogwarts Legacy for just £12.49, which is the cheapest price to date.
Elsewhere, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is £32.49, Star Wars Outlaws is £38.99 and Harry Potter Quidditch Champions is £12.49.
