A British man has died and his girlfriend hospitalised after their drinks were spiked while on holiday in Thailand, according to reports. Tom Pardhy, 38, had been travelling around the Asian country for six weeks with his girlfriend, Naomi Raksha, 31, at the time of his « sudden, accidental and unexpected » death. He died on March 6 in Bangkok after the couple were « given spiked drinks », Naomi’s mother, Heather Brown, alleged in a post on Facebook.
A GoFundMe page set up by Naomi’s brother said she had also been « incubated in [an] ICU due to poisoning » and was « in recovery from a subsequent cardiac arrest ». Around 24 hours after her hospitalisation, she learned that her partner, who was a well-known figure in London‘s music industry, had been found non-responsive, the Daily Mail reports. The UK Foreign Office has also confirmed his death.
