Boots’ new electric toothbrush is a ‘game-changer’ for reluctant kids

Here in the UK, dental professionals advise parents to start brushing their child’s teeth as soon as the first tooth appears, usually around six months of age. However, persuading toddlers to brush their teeth can often be a tricky task.

To make this daily routine less intimidating for youngsters, dental specialists at brush-baby have developed the Toby Tiger Electric Toothbrush, which is currently available in Boots’ baby section. The tiger-themed toothbrush is part of the brand’s WildOnes range, featuring eight unique animal designs. Suitable for children from their first tooth until the age of 10, the WildOnes brush is now on sale at Boots for £27.19, reduced from £33.99, making it a great alternative to other popular kids toothbrushes like the Oral B Pro Disney Kids Electric Toothbrush.

The sonic toothbrush with its ‘roarsome’ tiger motif, offers two-speed settings and a battery life that lasts up to a month based on twice-daily, two-minute brushing sessions.

The brush is tailored for developing teeth and features patented flossing bristles designed to tackle plaque in every corner. The kid-friendly electric toothbrush also comes equipped with a two-minute timer, a 30-second pulse reminder, and colour-changing lights to motivate children to adopt dentist-recommended brushing habits.

Its waterproof build makes it a trusty companion for splashing about in the bath and each toothbrush kit includes a universal USB charger as well as exchangeable brush heads.

For little ones who love animals there are even additional styles to pick from including Penguin, Panda, Hippo and Koala designs, reports the Mirror.

The deal is even sweeter for Boots customers, as every purchase comes bundled with a 50ML squeeze of children’s Applemint Toothpaste, ideally formulated for tots aged three and older.

Parents are heaping praise on their youngsters’ brush-baby experiences, hitting up the web to share tales of how it’s flipping the script on those once-dreadful tooth-brushing ordeals into sheer enjoyment.

A beaming top-rated commentary on Boots’ site said: « My toddler is thrilled and she is now excited to do her teeth twice a day (and more! ). Especially love the flashing colours on the faster setting. »

Another delighted shopper added: « Best product ever. My little boy now loves brushing his teeth, and calls to do it constantly (from having to battle to even get a toothbrush in his mouth this is a massive win). He is nearly 2 and is obsessed with his new toothbrush now. »

Yet not all feedback is not always quite so positive, with an Amazon customer expressing some concerns. They said: « We love this toothbrush but unfortunately it just seems to have an issue with charging. It goes a long time without needing it but when it does die, the charger doesn’t seem to do much. »

On the whole, most parents and their children love their new tooth brushing companion. Another delighted shopper said: « My toddler, usually a reluctant toothbrusher, was thrilled with his new Toby Tiger – especially since it looks like his favourite soft toy. It’s been a game-changer: goodbye tantrums, hello fun toothbrushing. »

The Toby Tiger WildOnes Electric Toothbrush is available from Boots for £27.19. If that’s not your style, Amazon has the Oral B Pro Disney Kids Electric Toothbrush on offer for £25, featuring either Lion King or Frozen characters to inspire little ones.

For an alternative that’s equally engaging, check out the Sonicare For Kids Design a Pet Electric Toothbrush that is currently on sale at John Lewis for £27.99.
