Boots’ address blunder sees ‘over 100’ deliveries sent to residents | UK | News

A married couple feel like “unpaid Boots workers” after spending the last eight years mistakenly receiving post meant for their local store.

Martin and Brenda Tizzard claim they are “exhausted and miserable” at the address error that has seen them take in more than 100 parcels since 2015.

The trouble began when a number of shopping units, including Boots, opened on their street.

Martin told Stoke Sentinel: “The amount of times we have to go over to that Boots we might as well be unpaid workers.

“These boxes are big and God knows what’s in them. I think some of these deliveries could be worth a lot of money.”

“We’ve lived here for 16 years this situation with deliveries from Boots has made it a nightmare.”

Martin, 68, said the confusion has arisen because the Boots store is called Unit Five. The fact that Google Maps labels Martin and Brenda’s home as the exact location of the Boots store has only made the situation worse.

Martin said: “I tell the drivers they’ve got the wrong address and they just say ‘all I see is the number’.

“I think there’s about five or six delivery companies that have wrongly delivered it could be more it’s hard tell when they deliver in white vans.”

The couple try to see the funny side but with Brenda having arthritis, having to keep taking parcels across the road is problematic.

Martin said: “I’m really at my wits end now. I don’t know how people sleep at night knowing these parcels could end up in the wrong hands.

“When I go into the shop they just shrug their shoulders. I feel like we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place.”

Martin believes contacting the multiple different delivery companies would be a waste of time.

Boots were approached for a comment.
