‘Best’ holiday packing hack uses simple item to fit more clothes in | Travel News | Travel

A savvy woman has found a hack for holiday packing using a simple item to fit more clothes into your suitcase.

Packing for a holiday can be a stressful task for some as airlines impose baggage allowances so travellers must ensure they don’t overpack and exceed the limit. Laura, a UK nurse and online fitness coach, has shared a video on TikTok showing what she uses to pack her holiday clothes in.

She has found that the plastic bags that Shein clothes come in are perfect for holiday packing as one bag can fit in a lot of folded clothing items. Laura even managed to put 12 bikinis into one Shein bag.

In her TikTok video she said: “I literally hate packing so much like it stresses me out and I like to put all my things into sections and I thought why don’t I put them in sections but put them in Shein bags and then it’s all together?” Laura then showed what clothes she put into each bag.

She used one for pyjamas, one for corset tops, one for pants, a bag for bodysuits, a bag for bikinis, one for crop tops, one for co-ord sets, one bag with four pairs of shorts in and a denim dress, one bag for dresses, one for gym clothing and one for bikini cover-ups. Laura remarked: “How amazing is that?”

The holiday packing expert also said that organising her clothes into different categories in Shein bags also makes it easy to take clothes out and allows her to easily find what type of clothing item she is looking for when it comes to unpacking. Laura added: “Best thing ever. I don’t know why in 26 years I’ve never done this before because it’s changed my life.”

In the caption of her TikTok post she wrote: “The best packing hack! I feel like an organised queen! She also mentioned that this technique is a “game changer” and it “squishes your clothes together so you can fit more in.” Her video has garnered 112,900 views, more than 1,000 likes and plenty of comments.

One user said: “SHEIN bags are also fab for keeping stuff dry in your beach bag.pool bag! Love them.”

Another added: “I always use Shein bags for going away. They are so good for packing kid’s clothes. I put a full outfit including underwear and socks into [a] bag for each day.”

A third commented: “I did the same thing a couple of years ago and they are great and the air holes make them easy to flatten on top of each other.” A fourth user chimed in: “I’m going to try this, looks so satisfying and tidy.”

A fifth person shared: “Always save my Shein bags for this exact reason!” Skycanner has also shared some of the best ways to pack a suitcase, including reusing a sealed plastic bag to put liquids in as it says the air pressure in the cabin can cause the air in your toiletries to expand and “explode”, roll your clothes then place them in a vacuum compression bags and to prevent your pressed powder or eye shadow from cracking during your travels, place a flat cotton wool pad in between the pressed powder and the lid.
