Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update release time, Hurricane map and all you need to know | Gaming | Entertainment

Arc Raiders developer Embark Studios is gearing up to release a brand new update for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.

The new Arc Raiders update is titled Shrouded Sky and introduces Hurricane weather conditions to maps.

The Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update has a February 24 release date and a 9.30am GMT UK release time. That’s 1.30am PT / 4.30am PT for US fans, or 10.30am CET for European players.

Needless to say, you’ll need to download and install the update if you want to play online multiplayer.

The headline new feature is the introduction of hurricanes, which will give players a tougher challenge when entering a map.

Embark explains more: « The wind will batter you, debris will light up your shield while degrading its protection, and visibility will scatter your sense of direction – but it might just be worth it for those First Wave Raider Caches that have been unearthed along the surface. »

To help counter the new weather condition, players will be tasked with collecting materials to build a weather monitoring system. Collecting materials will unlock various rewards.

Unfortunately, the weather conditions aren’t the only new threat, because players will face a new ARC machine dubbed Firefly, as well as another dubbed Comet.

The armored flying machine is said to emit a jet of flame that will burn players, while the Comet explodes when approaching Raiders.

Elsewhere, there’s a new Surgeon Raider Deck that can be unlocked for free. Just complete Feats to earn Cred and unlock the medical goodies.

The free update also adds facial hair to players looking to further customise their Raiders.

Stubble is available to all players, while a Full Beard is unlockable as part of the Surgeon Raider Deck.

There will also be a Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache variant available from the Item Shop, as well as new items as part of the Devotee Set.
