A multi-vehicle fire has erupted at the car park of a hospital in Cambridge as emergency services respond. A number of road closures are in place around Addenbrooke’s Hospital and people are being urged to avoid the area.
Cambridge Police said in a post on X at 4.49pm: « Due to a Fire in the vicinity/surrounding Addenbrookes Hospital Carpark one, access is currently limited/restricted.
The following road closures are in place Robinson Way, Puddicombe Way, Adrian Way, Richard Howe Way. Please avoid the area if at all possible. »
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service adds « We are currently responding to a fire involving multiple vehicles on the second floor of car park one at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
« More than 30 firefighters are at the scene, including from neighbouring fire and rescue services, and other specialist vehicles are in attendance. »
