US President Donald Trump’s war in Iran could cost America trillions of dollars worth of investment from Gulf countries, an expert has claimed.
The President will attend a Cabinet meeting today to discuss the ongoing conflict.
An insider told Politico on Thursday that Iran’s strikes on Gulf neighbours could lead to a situation where Middle Eastern nations like the UAE and Saudi Arabia feel they cannot « invest the trillions of dollars the Gulf has promised to invest in the US. »
Another source added: “What has really freaked people out is that the Gulf Arabs have warned that they’re a couple weeks away from having to repatriate tens of billions of dollars in investments from the United States.
« When these guys do that, it is going to be immensely destabilizing and contradictory to the president’s investment goals.”
