Police launch urgent search for missing boy, 10 – ‘Growing concerned’ | UK | News

Police are urgently searching for a 10-year-old boy who has gone missing, with officers « growing concerned » for his welfare. Cole Gallacher was last seen in the Whistleberry Wynd area of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, at around 9.30am on Tuesday, police said.

The youngster was seen wearing black school trousers, a black waterproof Zavetti jacket, and pink and black Nike trainers. Police are requesting the public to come forward with information about his whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.

Inspector Colin Thapar said: « We are growing concerned for Cole’s welfare and are urgently trying to trace him to ensure he’s safe and well.

« Officers are carrying out a number of inquiries but I’m also asking for the public’s help. Have you seen Cole and do you have any information on where he might be? If you do, please come forward.

« I am also asking people to check their sheds and outbuildings in case he’s taken shelter there. »

Sharing more details about him, the police said he is white, 4ft 8in, with brown/blonde hair which is permed on top and short at the sides.
