Boots has built a bit of a following over the last couple of years for its beauty and skincare boxes, with special editions and seasonal drops proving especially popular. Some have flown off the shelves; the Korean Skincare box, for instance, sold out as soon as it landed.
Now, just in time for Easter, there’s a brand new beauty box on the scene. The Boots Easter Beauty Box is a lovely alternative if you’re thinking beyond the usual chocolate egg — ideal for the beauty fan in your life, or, just as tempting, a little treat for yourself.
And it’s not just about what’s inside, it’s the value, too. Boots says the contents are worth £276.88, but the box is priced at £49.50. That’s a saving of £227.38, or 82.12%, which feels pretty generous. Inside, you’ll find a mix of well-known names, including Nuxe, Rituals, Sol de Janeiro and Kerastase.
Everything comes tucked inside a pretty pink box, decorated with spring-ready florals and the words ‘With Love’. It’s the kind of packaging that makes gifting easy, and there’s no extra wrapping required.
Open it up, and there are 14 products in total, spanning makeup, skincare and hair care, with eight of them full-size. Among those are a pair of Patchology Serve Chilled Rosé Eye Gels, a No7 Pro Artist Powder Blush in the shade Pink, and an Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss in Nearly Nude, all of which are nicely wearable, versatile shades. You’ll also get a full-size Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Florale Multi-Purpose Dry Oil for Face, Body and Hair (50ml), along with a bareMinerals Dewy Lip Gloss Balm.
The travel-sized picks are just as appealing. There’s a Sol de Janeiro body lotion in the Cheirosa 62 scent, which is one of my personal favourites. As someone who already loves the brand, this moisturiser really stands out. It leaves skin feeling soft, and the pistachio-and-vanilla scent instantly brings to mind warm summer days. Alongside that, you’ll find a Fenty Beauty Mini Grip Trip Mattifying and Blurring Primer (15ml), a Shiseido Vital Perfection Advanced Cream (15ml), and a Rituals of Ayurveda Body Cream (70ml).
It’s also nice to see some attention given to hair care, with the inclusion of the Kerastase Resistance Leave-In Conditioning Treatment Milk. Not every beauty box goes beyond makeup and skincare, so it adds a welcome bit of variety.
If there’s one thing missing, it might be a fragrance — but that’s fairly typical, as scents aren’t always included in these kinds of boxes.
So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The box has only received glowing reviews, earning a five-star customer rating. One shopper called it “fabulous”, while another wrote: “I cannot recommend this box of goodies highly enough, every single thing is the right colour and totally right for skin. Worth every penny.”
