Drivers on the M1 during the busy rush hour period are facing traffic chaos following a crash. One lane is closed on the northbound stretch between junctions 28 (Mansfield) and junction 29 (Tibshelf).
There is also now debris on the motorway, with drivers warned they face delays of just under 30 miunutes and almost four miles of traffic back past Tibshelf. One lane has been closed and a recovery vehicle is now rushing to the scene of the crash. National Highways East Midlands wrote on X: « #M1 northbound between J28 (#SouthNormanton #Mansfield) and J29. One lane is closed due to a collision and debris. Vehicle recovery is on route. Delays of just under 30 minutes, almost 4 miles of congestion back past #Tibshelf. »
