A new royal book details the moment Queen Camilla allegedly told a friend, « Meghan brainwashed Harry », as the Duke of Sussex’s stepmother hit out at his wife.
‘Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family’ is a new book by royal author, Tom Bower, which partly details the relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Detailing William and Harry’s curtailing relationship too, Tom writes: « Meghan had become a divisive agent. » [between Harry and William] .
« To please her, Harry was ignoring his old friends. He even changed his telephone number without telling his family. The jovial lad about town became possessed by seeking revenge. Increasingly, his character mirrored Meghan’s. Emotionally, he veered towards extremes. Simple dislikes became passionate hatred. ‘Meghan’s brainwashed Harry,’ Camilla told a friend. »
Tom Bower further writes in the Times: « The unpredicted and unimagined humiliation of Andrew shocked Harry. Rightly, Harry fears that the future King William could remove all the Sussexes’ titles and effectively banish him from Britain. »
The claim comes during a turbulent time for the royals, amid Harry’s uncle being arrested last month.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not commented on the ongoing situation surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was arrested and released under investigation on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
