Trump issues chilling 3-word warning as Iran conflict continues | World | News

In his second address to the nation in 48 hours, delivered from Mar-a-Lago on Sunday, the President declared that those responsible would “face certain death” if they refused to stand down. His remarks came hours after three US soldiers were killed in Kuwait in attacks linked to the widening confrontation with Iran.

“America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war against basically, civilisation,” Trump said, framing the conflict as a broader struggle against extremism.

The President issued a direct ultimatum to Iran’s security forces, naming the Revolutionary Guard and the military police. “These intolerable threats will not continue any longer. I once again urge the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian military police, to lay down your arms and receive full immunity or face certain death,” he said.

The fighting has intensified across the region, with missiles reportedly striking Israel and several Arab states, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as well as American military bases. The widening theatre of operations has heightened fears of a prolonged regional war.

Trump also appealed directly to the Iranian public, urging them to overthrow what he described as an oppressive regime. “Be brave, be bold, be heroic and take back your country,” he said, calling on citizens to rise up against the Islamic government.

In the US, the President sought to rally support for the military campaign amid growing unease within his own party and polling that suggests a majority of Americans oppose deeper involvement in the conflict.

With midterm elections approaching in November, several Republican allies have voiced concern about the political and strategic costs of a sustained war.

“We’re undertaking this massive operation not merely to ensure security for our own time and place, but for our children and their children, just as our ancestors have done for us many, many years ago,” Trump said.

“This is the duty and the burden of a free people. These actions are right and they are necessary to ensure that Americans will never have to face a radical, bloodthirsty terrorist regime armed with nuclear weapons.”
