Police swarm Slough Iceland car park as woman found dead | UK | News

A woman was found dead in the car park of a supermarket in broad daylight, as people were shopping in the area. Emergency services were called to the area outside an Iceland store at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday, February 21, where a 42-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead. 

The tragic incident occured on Montrose Avenue in Slough, just metres away from the entrances of Iceland and other stores, including B&M. Thames Valley Police attended the scene and cordoned off a section of the car park, and a blue forensics tent was also set up, to allow officers to investigate the tragic death.  

The force said on Sunday a file is being prepared for the coroner, adding her death is being treated as « unexplained ».

No formal identification of the woman has yet been released. 

Officers were spotted in the area on Saturday evening, when a cordon was still in place and several police vehicles, including two vans, remained in the car park.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: « We are preparing a file for the coroner after an unexplained but non-suspicious death in Slough yesterday.

« A 42-year-old woman was sadly found dead in a car in a car park in Montrose Avenue at around 2.30pm. Her next of kin are aware and we have offered them our support at this difficult time. »
