Pre-season testing in Bahrain has officially concluded with the countdown on to March 4 for the start of the 2026 F1 season. Ferarri’s Charles Leclerc topped the final day with an excellent lap to finish 0.879s quicker than defending champion Lando Norris.
As evidenced on Friday, the latter faces a real threat from Ferrari in the opening few weeks of the season with Australia as the first race. It was a mixed few days for Leclerc’s teammate Lewis Hamilton with the Brit completing only a handful of laps and watching on from the Ferrari garage on Friday.
Despite that, and a very difficult 2025 campaign, he is full of optimism and belief for the upcoming months. Further down the pecking order, it was not a great start to the season for Aston Martin with a battery issues resulting in Lance Stroll completing just six laps.
With all of that being said, Express Sport has got you covered for the latest F1 headlines as we head towards the first race of the season in Melbourne…
