Solo Leveling, Honkai Star Rail and Lantern Fest coming to Fortnite update 39.50 | Gaming | Entertainment

A new Fortnite update is coming to PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Switch 2, the original Nintendo Switch and mobile.

Fortnite update 39.50 has a February 19 release date. It will be available to download and install from 9am GMT UK time.

Matchmaking will be disabled at 8.30am GMT, which means you’ll need to join a game shortly beforehand if you want an early match.

The Fortnite server status page confirms that downtime will last for 90 minutes, so the game should be back online at 10.30am GMT.

Epic Games has already announced some of the new content coming as part of update 39.50.

This includes the release of the Solo Leveling crossover, which includes a Sung Jin-Woo skin and various items. 

Players can earn the items early by competing in the Solo Leveling Arise Cup on February 19, which is for single-players only.

In addition to the Solo Leveling crossover, fans are finally expecting the release of the Honkai Star Rail content.

Finally, Epic Games has announced details about the Lantern Fest, which runs from February 19 until February 25.

As part of the event, players will be able to earn free rewards by completing quests in eight-player Reload.

« Lantern Fest celebrates Fortnite’s Middle East and North Africa community and this year, players get to drop in with the biggest Reload teams ever, » Epic explains.

« From February 19 at 9 AM ET to February 25 at 9 AM ET, 8-player teams can complete three Reload Quests to unlock the “Bring it!” Spray and eight to unlock the “Love the Game” Emoticon. »
