The UK is set to see more snow this month with 24 hours forecast across 36 cities. WXCharts has predicted the wintry weather will arrive on February 27 at 12pm and last until 12pm on February 28.
Snowis forecast to be heaviest in central Scotland (the Grampians), with more falling across much of Scotland, northern England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the west Midlands, and the southwest coast. Temperatures across the country will be below freezing. It’s forecast to be coldest in the Grampians, Dumfries, and Penrith at -5C. Much of the rest of the UK will be between 0C and -4C. The only places it will be above freezing are Northern Ireland (Derry, Belfast), the southwest of England (Exeter, St Ives), and parts of north England and the Midlands (Liverpool, Manchester, Peterborough).
However, the Met Office said of the same period: “Remaining changeable to begin with, as Atlantic low pressure systems push east over or to the north of the UK.
“This means further spells of wet and at times windy weather, interspersed with brighter, showery interludes. Some heavy rain is likely, especially across high ground areas in the west and north, though some sheltered eastern and southern parts may see comparatively little rain.
“It will like be relatively mild overall, though some occasional colder spells are possible, particularly in the north.
“Around the turn of the month, there is a signal that high pressure will become more dominant, meaning more in the way of dry weather developing.
