Kensington Palace announces new royal tour within weeks | Royal | News

Prince William will travel to Saudi Arabia next month, Kensington Palace has announced. They said in an official statement: « At the request of His Majesty’s Government, The Prince of Wales will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between Monday 9th and Wednesday 11th February. »

William’s visit comes as the UK and Saudi Arabia celebrate growing trade, energy and investment ties, and as the two nations approach a century of diplomatic relations. It will mark the future King’s first official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The Princess of Wales will not be joining him on the short trip. Further details will be released by Kensington Palace at a later date.

The Duke of Sussex, who is one of seven high-profile individuals bringing legal action against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) over allegations of unlawful information gathering, was on the brink of tears as he described the effects of ANL’s coverage on his wife, Meghan Markle.
