Locals have been urged to steer clear of the LS9 area of Leeds, with a large fire currently ablaze at a scrapyard. 

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a large plume of smoke is impacting the air surrounding the incident site. 

Nearby residents are being asked to keep doors and windows shut due to a large fire at a scrapyard”, while others are warned to « avoid the area ».
