Whilst he was recognised fairly swiftly on that occasion, Haaland was optimistic for a better display this time around.
He added: « This is proper authentic. And with the beard I actually think we’ve got a great chance of hiding me. »
Nevertheless, he battled with the conventional Santa voice, even quipping about adopting a Scouse accent for enhanced disguise.
When his iPhone Face ID failed to function, he thought it was an encouraging indicator.
At the first house, whilst all five children failed to identify him, he teased that one was on the naughty list after they confessed to supporting Manchester United.
Haaland would disclose his true identity during a group photograph, triggering absolute chaos.
Nevertheless, he was exposed rather rapidly at the second dwelling, quipping to one of the youngsters after removing his beard: « You knew straight away didn’t you! »
The child replied: « I’ve heard your voice on TV so I knew it was you. »
Following the completion of his present deliveries, Haaland expressed satisfaction with his evening’s efforts, though he acknowledged there were still areas in need of improvement.
He said: « It was successful – but not successful because of my voice. That’s the problem. »
