A major airline is expanding its flight schedule to the UK, offering Brits more routes to the popular European destination. Air France announced that it will launch a new service between Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport and London Gatwick, starting next year. The airline already offers flights to and from London Heathrow. However, starting from March 29, 2026, UK holidaymakers will also be able to fly with the airline from Gatwick.
The airline announced that two daily flights will be operated from the major London airport, aiming to enhance connection opportunities via the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub to Air France’s global network of destinations. Air France currently operates to 29 domestic locations and over 200 destinations worldwide, earning it a reputation as one of the best airlines in Europe.
Air France already operates up to 300 weekly flights to six UK destinations. However, the new additions come as part of Air France’s plans to expand its medium-haul network and increase flight frequencies to and from the UK.
In addition to routes to and from Gatwick, the airline will also introduce « special » flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Cardiff in February 2026, for the Six Nations rugby championship.
Between February 13 and 16, Air France will operate 12 flights between Paris-Charles De Gaulle and Cardiff. The airline says that it has introduced the special route to allow French and international supporters to travel to Wales easily and experience the atmosphere of the tournament matches.
In other Air France news, the airline is also upgrading its travel experience from Heathrow, where it serves seven times a day.
In spring 2026, Air France will open a brand new lounge at Heathrow Airport‘s Terminal 4. The exclusive spot will be reserved for the airline’s La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible travellers flying with KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines.
The 750 square metre lounge, offering around 150 seats, will give travellers access to dining areas showcasing French fine dining, a bar with a selection of French wines and champagnes, a dedicated spa and relaxation areas and a space for working.
The airline says the new lounge will guarantee customers a haven of tranquillity and refinement, before boarding or between flights.
