These can have a watery, squishy texture and be lacking in flavour, so are best avoided. Even if the eggs are made fresh, they are left to stand under a heat lamp which can quickly cause them to dry out.
As such, passengers are better served by heading to the made-to-order egg and omelette station where chefs will cook you eggs from scratch.
Not only will this guarantee that fresh eggs will be used, but you can also customise your order by adding extra toppings like cheese, mushrooms, ham and onions.
Alternatively, you can also visit the dining room for breakfast instead of the buffet as here you can order yourself a cooked breakfast from the menu, rather than serving yourself food that’s been sitting under the heat lamps for a long period of time.
Ordering from the dining room is also a good option for those with specific dietary requirements, as it’s much easier to get assistance and advice about what is safe for you to eat.
